Many corporations help members in their community with donations and other good works. We call this “Being good corporate citizens”. It is finally time for us to be counted as citizens.
With Mitt Romney as president we believe we can finally be counted as citizens. All it will take is an executive order declaring that corporations will be counted as citizens in the state they are incorporated in.
This would apply to both domestic and foreign corporations. Some may wonder why this would be extended to foreign corporations and the answer is rather simple. They have invested in this country employing our citizens and their opinions should be heard.
How would a corporation’s ‘vote’ be counted. We think that one vote per corporation would be fair.
How would a corporation determine how they should vote on an issue. Corporations make many decisions daily directed by the companies CEO and their policies. Therefore the corporate vote decision will be given to the CEO.
Some may think that Delaware and Nevada will have an unfair advantage due to the number corporations incorporated in those states due to laws that are favorable to corporations. This will cause a win-win situation where other states will realize they have to change their laws to attract more corporations to their states to increase their citizenship.
Ultimately an amendment to the constitution would make this change permanent. We feel that once the executive order has been put in place, there should be enough corporate citizens to call for a Constitutional Convention where the amendment can be ratified.
Technology advances have made it possible to outsource government health care plans to India. PCP visits will be conducted on Skype and can be performed in the patient’s home or office cutting down on time travelling to and from office visits. The KISS transmission device, profiled in the video below, was redesigned to allow doctors to examine patients remotely while increasing diagnostic success rates.
If a more thorough visit is necessary patients can go to partnering pharmacies and diagnostic testing centers. Diagnostic tests and additional physical exams can be performed by on-site nurse practitioners and physicians assistants.
Patients requiring extensive surgery will be flown to India to receive care. Engineers are also working on robots that will allow surgeons from India to perform simple operations remotely when it is less cost effective to transport the patient to India and back.
In an effort to cut costs, members of Congress were issued laptop computers with secure communications allowing them to conduct floor proceedings, hearings and committee meetings and video conferencing from anywhere in the U.S. This will allow members of Congress to stay in their homes reducing travel expenses and the cost of housing in the D.C. area.
Quorum and voting will be determined real time using a government issued Twitter account. This will allow lobbyists and corporations easy access to track their return on investment.
Congressional members will survey constiuents for policy and legislative direction. Tracking codes will be assigned to constituents based on campaign donation. Codes will rank donors based on their level of financial commitment to the democratic process.
The U.S. government has over 8,100 Public Buildings Service leases and 1,500 government owned buildings. With all the recent rightsizing activities much of this space is now available. Rather than the wholesale selling of these properties, they will be rented to corporations and lobbyists that do business with the government.
An exciting development with the reduction of the Senate and House of Representatives is that they will now both use the House of Representatives chambers. This leaves the Senate chambers available for rent. Local Universities Georgetown and George Washington have both expressed interest in holding classes in the chambers. Di Giorno exclaims “This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to attend classes in an environment steeped in our country’s history.”
Many citizens are satisfied by the turn around in the government. Publik stated “Rather than cost us money they are finally figuring out how to be a profit center where they can pay for themselves rather than a burden to us taxpayers.”
Arthur Anderson was commissioned to analyze the current structure of the Senate and determined it can be reduced by half. Dunncan said, “Basically every state has two Senators and the same representation can be provided by one Senator.” Total savings include Senator’s Official Personnel and Office Expense Account of $3,206,825 (an average) and a salary of $171,315 which totals to savings of nearly $84 million per year ($3,378,140 * 25).
The most exciting savings will come from the House of Representatives where it was determined that the workforce could be reduced by two-thirds from 435 to 145 Representatives. Total savings include Members’ representational allowance of $1,446,009 and a salary of $172,500 which is a savings of 469 million per year ($1,618,009 * 290).
Some may wonder how the Senate and House of Representatives workforce can be reduced without changing the constitution. Thomas said “For the Senate It really depends upon how you interpret the Constitution, every State is entitled to two Senators, that doesn’t mean that you have to fill them.”
Things are easier for the House of Representatives where the apportionment act can be used to by the House to reduce their membership. We think this is a no brainer for the current Republican majority who see the wisdom and savings in reducing their numbers.
The initial downsizing is where the difficult decisions will need to be made. Dunncan stated that Anderson has come up with a formula using total corporate donations, lobbyist contributions and laws passed that are pro-business to determine which Congressional members will be eliminated.
Anderson received 553 million in consulting fees for the analysis and reduction formula. They stand to earn an additional 553 million once the changes are implemented. When asked to justify these payments Wade stated “revenue generated in this transaction is equal to a two year ROI which is an excellent value for the money spent.”
